French Horn Lessons at Chris K Music.

French Horn Lessons are offered as part of our Band Instrument Series, focusing on technique and concepts to help musicians be successful with any music or band program.  We work with local band directors and music educators to help students go above and beyond in their musical studies.  Many of our students also learn more than one band instrument to further understand the value of teamwork and to improve musical creativity and expression.  We also specialize in training music students for District Festivals and Honor Bands.

French Horn Lessons are customized according to each students’ needs and desires, making the learning experience unique for all students.  We use a combination of method books and customized material to help all students explore, learn, and grow as musicians and individuals.  Our strong foundation in reading music helps builds successful musicians  for any music program or ensemble.

• Learn proper playing technique (posture, hand placement, movement)
• Improve your range and tone through exercises specific to your instrument
• Expand your knowledge of theory and sight reading
• Learn standard and alternate fingerings for F (Single Horn) and Bb Horn (Double Horn)
• Learn to read music, from notes to chords to complicated rhythms
• Master the necessary techniques required to play quickly and correctly
• Learn various techniques to be successful in performing many styles of music
